About Mrs. Tritsch

Hello! I'm Carrie Tritsch. I've been teaching elementary music since 2004, and I've been at Trebein since the school opened. I've always loved singing and playing instruments. I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't involved in music in some way. As a small girl, my grandmother gave me piano lessons. Then, when I was in 5th grade, I joined the elementary school band as a flute player. I loved it! I continued with the flute all through my school years, adding the piccolo when I was in the high school marching band. I also joined the choir while I was in high school. I learned that singing was my favorite thing, so I dropped the flute and became a voice major in college. I also taught myself to play guitar and bass guitar! I'm currently working on learning to play the ukulele in my spare time.

I have two children. My son is a 6th grader at Coy Middle School, and he's a first year Baritone player in the band! My daughter is in 2nd grade here at Trebein, and she is a harp player! In addition to their own instruments, they both participate in a summer show choir camp called Red Hotz and Lollipops. It's a lot of fun getting a chance to sing and dance on stage with a bunch of other boys or girls their age!

I got my bachelor's degree in Music Education from Wright State, and I am almost finished with my Master's Degree in Educational Technology at Miami University. I am a member of the Greater Cincinnati Orff Schulwerk Association, and I've completed two levels of Orff training. I am also on the board for Ohio's chapter of Technology Integration in Music Education (TI:ME). I have presented multiple sessions at the Ohio Music Education Association's annual conference.
