Daily Schedule (Quarter 1)
Week 1: Aug 16-20
Mon: Staggered Start Students A-L. Class Introduction: Syllabus, Join G-Classroom and begin PF Questionnaire.
Tues: Staggered Start Students M-Z. Class Introduction: Syllabus, Join G-Classroom and begin PF Questionnaire.
Wed: Personal Finance Pre-Test and finish PF Questionnaire.
Thurs: Start the period off by completing "Jumpstart's Reality Check" Activity. Begin Round 1 of the Class Activity: The Bean Game.
Fri: Complete Rounds 2 & 3 of Activity: The Bean Game
Week 2: Aug 23-27
Mon: Begin Introduction to Personal Finance discussion/notes (Section 1). Assign: Money Personality Quiz.
Tues: Review Money Personalities of the class. Continue Intro notes (Section 2).
Wed: Journal Entry#1-Bell Ringer. Discussion/notes (Section 3). Assign: Debt Investigation
Thurs: Journal Entry #2-Bell Ringer. Assign: Money in Review
Fri: Watched the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j2emMn7UaI together as as class. Reviewed just a bit for our test on Monday. Students should take some time to read over the note packet and study the vocabulary. The test is 30 questions (Matching, Multiple choice and True/False). Used the rest of the period to finish up the Money in Review from yesterday.
Week 3: Aug 30 - Sep 3
Mon: Introduction to Personal Finance Unit TEST
Tues: Begin Ch. 1 (Decision Making) notes. Completed Sections I and II. Assign: My Money Habits
Wed: Completed Section III of the note packet. Assign: Buying a Car (students got a start on it, but there will be more time tomorrow to finish it up)
Thurs: Completed Section IV of the note packet (finished it up) Finish Assign: Buying a Car
Fri: Review note packet a bit. Assign: Ch. 1 Vocabulary. Special Note: Ch. 2 TEST will be on Wednesday next week!
Week 4: Sep 6-10
Mon: No School - Labor Day
Tues: Reviewed Ch. 1 Notes for TEST tomorrow. Assign: Consumer Decision Making Has Changed posted in Classroom

Thurs: Begin Ch. 2 (Careers) Note packet — see link above!!
Fri: Assign: Holland Code Career Survey posted in Classroom.
Week 5: Sep 13-17
Mon: Discussed more of Ch. 2 (Careers) Note packet — see link above!! We got through all of section “IV: Completing a Job Application”. No new assignment, gave students about 15 min to finish the Holland Code Survey from Friday.
Tues: Discussed more of Ch. 2 notes. We got through all of section “IV: Completing a Job Application”. No new assignment
Wed: As a class we went over the errors made on this document. Look over the Application section in your notes and then take a look at the document to see how many mistakes you can find. No other assignment today
Thurs: Assign: Practice Application Form (in Classroom). Students who had some spare time used that time to take a look at the “Arcade Games for Personal Finance” posted in Classroom.
Fri: Assign: Chapter 2 Friday Reflections (in Classroom)
Week 6: Sep 20-24
Mon: Filled in the notes section on Resumes. See note packet above. Look over the following items posted in G-Classroom: The Nuts and Bolts of Resumes and Analyze High School Resumes. Assign: Building a Resume (we will use some time tomorrow as well)
Tues: Filled in the notes section on Cover Letters, Networking, Social Media and Interviewing. Assign: Finish Building a Resume (due today). If you want to prepare an actual Resume, you may do so for Extra Credit. This will be due on Friday this week.
Wed: Filled in notes section on Hard vs Soft Skills. Assign: Hard vs Soft Skills
Thurs: Review for Chapter 2 TEST. Assign: Vocabulary (in G-Classroom)
