About Mrs. Worthen
I was born and raised in Miamisburg, Ohio, with my parents and two sisters. I am the middle sister!
My husband, Jared, and I met in high school.
We have a son named Lucas. He attends Fairbrook elementary, and he is obsessed with all things Lego, Pokemon, and sports.
I graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor's degree in English: Integrated Language Arts and a master's degree in AYA (7-12) Education.
After finishing college, I taught 10th grade English at BHS until I moved to Coy in 2019.
My free time is spent crafting, reading mystery novels, watching Disney movies, and playing board games with my family.
Some of my favorite things include the color purple, otters, penguins, Stitch, and dark chocolate.
My goals for this year are to help you develop an interest in reading and writing, build confidence in yourself, and give you the tools needed to be the best version of yourself that you can be. I am excited to spend the year with you!
