JV Assistant Coach
Coach Jolene Towers attended the University of Utah, where she studied music as a vocal performance major. Although music has always been close to her heart, coaching has been a lifelong passion she simply can’t give up. Over the past 24 years, Jolene has coached soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball. This marks her 11th season coaching with Beavercreek Schools.
While she continues to love music, Towers deepest passion today is supporting families who have children with special needs. She is the Co-Founder and Chair of Dayton Area Special Moms, a support group she started 20 years ago that has grown to serve more than 2,700 moms throughout the greater Miami Valley.
Coach Towers also served for 22 years on the Board of Directors for the 5p- Society, the national support organization for families of children with cri du chat (5p-) syndrome. During her time on the board, she held the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary, and board member. Her dedication is deeply personal—her daughter was born 30 years ago with this rare condition, which occurs in approximately 1 in 50,000 live births.
Coach Towers and her family have hosted three foreign exchange students, and she now serves as a local coordinator for CIEE. If you have any interest in hosting an exchange student, she would love to talk with you.
She was also a foster parent for many years and has welcomed three of her nieces into her home. Currently, she and her family are hosting a Shriners patient and his mother from Peru for 10-12 months while the young boy receives medical care in Dayton.
Coach Jolene Towers has been married for 33 years and is the proud mother of one daughter, three sons, and one granddaughter. Her family is truly her greatest joy.
