One thing I have learnt in my years in Community Development is to capture your learnings as you go.
It is helpful to debrief yourself, your team, your community. To understand what worked, what didn't and what happens next. This reflection helps us refine our practice and make it even better.
It's not about whether you are 'doing it right' that funders want to know but more the story and details of what is happening and the impact it has on your people, place and resources.
Sharing our experiences and learnings is an important part of our Communities of Practice - learning from the people who are trying things, who are using frameworks and principles, who have had to rethink their processes. I get so excited when I talk to others about what has worked for them or for me.
So this is what we have captured from the Strengthening Our Streets mahi that we'd like to share with you and hope it inspires you to participate.
