Participants are allowed to choose their own theme. There is no set theme for the festival, so participants are free to choose.
Participants must verify that everyone involved in their film project has permission to be posted online. An information release form is required for all involved in the film. This form will be emailed to your parents after you have submitted a film or poster. This means all students who create a film or act in the film need to have this form filled out by a parent. If you have any additional questions, please contact Lani Gauntlett at lgauntlett@beaumontusd.k12.ca.us
Students can submit as many film entries as they want.
Students need to do their own work. All participants may receive guidance from an adult, but all writing, filming, and editing must be completed by the participants.
Do not go over the category time limit. Participants that go over the time limit will not be considered for an award. If your film is over the designated time for the category, your film will be disqualified.
Do not include anything in your film that is too violent or graphic in nature. If this content is present, the film will not be considered for an award at the Beaumont High School Film Festival. Please keep in mind that people of all ages will attend the festival.
Do not break copyright laws. Films that break copyright or do not contain proper credits and citations will not be considered for an award. View our copyright page or attend one of our monthly student support meetings to get additional help with copyright.
