Good Afternoon,
As spooky season ends and we start to gear up for winter ahead, it’s hard to believe that summer will be here again before we know it! We’re excited to kick off our lifeguard recruitment effort for next year. We take pride in staffing around 55 pools across Northeast Ohio, with a team of roughly 300 lifeguards. Our placements include Country Clubs, Homeowners Associations, and Condo Associations-many which are conveniently located near your students’ homes.
We understand the need for flexible summer jobs, and lifeguarding with us offers just that. It’s more than a job-it’s an opportunity for students to gain valuable experience and develop important skills. We also offer chances for advancement, allowing students to build essential management skills that strengthen their resume and set them up for future success.
I’ve included a flyer with simple in instructions on how students can apply. If you have any questions about the positions or our company, feel free to reach out to us at (440) 832-7705.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to welcoming some of your students to our team!
Warmly,
Heather Malleo

Please see the below email from Elon University as well as the attached flyer for additional information on their Emerging Journalists Program. Let me know if you have questions!
from: Elon University <admissions@elon.edu>
We’re excited to officially announce that we’re set to launch the fourth year of the Emerging Journalists Program at Elon University, which offers the ideal opportunity for high school students to explore what it means to be a journalist, to report and to produce news that informs communities. We hope you’ll let your students know about this free workshop.
Applications are now open, and the first of four monthly virtual interactive learning sessions is scheduled for January. Students may apply for our virtual sessions only or for both the virtual component and the on-campus summer experience, scheduled for June 16-27, 2025, at Elon. This on-campus residential learning workshop is open to students from diverse socio-economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds. And, again, it’s completely free. EJP pays for students’ travel, lodging, meals and instructional materials.
Last year’s summer cohort produced a website, newspaper and 45-minute newscast. Here’s a snapshot of what our students did while on campus with us.
We hope this is an opportunity that will interest you and your students. Please feel free to share this email, my contact information and the attached one-pager that features some more information about the Emerging Journalists Program. Interested students may apply at www.elon.edu/ejp. And if you’d like to talk more, please feel free to email me at cdonohue@elon.edu or call 336-278-5850.
Thank you,
