Ashland University has dates coming up for Fall Open Houses at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences [CONHS] Academic building in Mansfield Ohio, as well as Fall Preview Days at the Main Ashland University campus for any high school students interested in nursing and health sciences! Also on the flyer, Ashland University's CONHS, Mansfield location nursing program is offering Summer Camp 2026 to rising junior and senior high school students (16 years and older) interested in becoming a registered nurse. This summer camp is being offered in conjunction with our nearby hospital clinical partners. Participants can choose to attend on either July 9th or July 10th and will be responsible for their own transportation. This is an opportunity for participants to:
engage in activities in the nursing simulation lab with nursing instructors who teach in the BSN nursing program at Ashland University
experience a demonstration of Virtual Reality (VR) nursing simulated scenarios
have lunch and meet nurses at one of the hospital clinical sites partnering with us
tour various hospital departments to meet registered nurses and see them in action

Waynesburg University cordially invites your students to our two specialty events - Chemistry for the Future and Mock Crime Scene Workshop.
The Chemistry for the Future event is on December 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, will learn from professionals, professors, and college students about careers available with a major in chemistry, biochemistry, forensic chemistry, or pharmaceutical science. Come learn how chemists impact society through a variety of careers and what types of salaries they earn. Scientists from Shimadzu Corporation, the world's second largest instrumentation developer, will be on site to talk with students and provide a look into what chemists actually do in the lab. The Mock Crime Scene Workshops are offered on November 9, 2024 and March 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, respectively. These events are intended to provide high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, with an opportunity to learn from law enforcement, crime scene professionals and field experts, on how to properly investigate a crime scene, collect and document evidence, interview witnesses, and experience other aspects of law enforcement and crime scene investigation. Held at Case Western Reserve University, Camp College is an exciting event that explores the ins and outs of the college admissions process for high school students from Ohio. The programming welcomes students and their families. Camp College is free and lunch will be provided.
During the Camp College program, students and their families will:
Learn about the college admissions process
Explore life as a college student
Connect with Ohio colleges and universities
Experience hands-on classroom activities
Programming will include sessions on college applications, paying for college, a current college student panel, exploring academic majors and a mini college fair.
