Also on the flyer, Ashland University's CONHS, Mansfield location nursing program is offering Summer Camp 2026 to rising junior and senior high school students (16 years and older) interested in becoming a registered nurse. This summer camp is being offered in conjunction with our nearby hospital clinical partners. Participants can choose to attend on either July 9th or July 10th and will be responsible for their own transportation. This is an opportunity for participants to:

The Chemistry for the Future event is on December 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, will learn from professionals, professors, and college students about careers available with a major in chemistry, biochemistry, forensic chemistry, or pharmaceutical science. Come learn how chemists impact society through a variety of careers and what types of salaries they earn. Scientists from Shimadzu Corporation, the world's second largest instrumentation developer, will be on site to talk with students and provide a look into what chemists actually do in the lab. The Mock Crime Scene Workshops are offered on November 9, 2024 and March 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, respectively. These events are intended to provide high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, with an opportunity to learn from law enforcement, crime scene professionals and field experts, on how to properly investigate a crime scene, collect and document evidence, interview witnesses, and experience other aspects of law enforcement and crime scene investigation. University of Rochester’s Multicultural Visitation Program (MVP) offers a funded campus visit for prospective students from a wide range of backgrounds and allows them to experience Rochester on a more personal level. We invite current high school seniors attending school in the United States who otherwise financially might not be able to visit campus to apply for MVP.
As a participant in MVP, you will receive free transportation to and from campus, a two-night stay in a residence hall with a current student host, and specialized programming on top of our Research Rochester Open House events. MVP will take place Thursday, November 7– Saturday, November 9.

I wanted to reach out as I oversee Student Initiatives for The Ohio Society of CPAs and wanted to make you aware of our upcoming Accounting Career Day that will take place at Cleveland State University on November 8th from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. We’d love for you to share this opportunity with your students if at all possible! We will have a great lineup of accounting professionals and college students who will introduce high school students to a career in accounting – and give them the opportunity to learn about future career opportunities within the profession! Students will also get to meet professionals & future employers at the event. I am attaching a sample agenda and a flyer that you can share.
Lunch is included and there is there is no cost to attend the event due to the generosity of The Ohio CPA Foundation.

Point Park University's Pittsburgh Center for Sports and Media Marketing presents a unique seminar on The Power of March Madness on Wednesday, March 15th at 1 p.m.
Our featured guest will be Mallom Liggon, Executive Director of Strategy and Insights at Turner Sports. The session will be moderated by Jeff Gregor, former senior executive of Turner Sports and current owner of Gregor Marketing Advisors.
Mallom will provide our students with insight on the broadcasting and production of March Madness. Him and Jeff also will talk about careers in sports media and marketing.
This will be a ZOOM session and will include Q&A from students. Total time will be approximately one hour.

V.I.P.2 Day is open to current freshmen, sophomores, juniors (and seniors if they are still exploring their options) who are dedicated to academics, have an aptitude for science and math and are considering a career in healthcare.
Findlay’s College of Pharmacy would like to invite students to join us for our V.I.P.2 day of learning and exploring. Students will get an overview of pharmacy practice as they spend time in the lab compounding chemicals, learning about physical assessment and filling prescriptions under the
supervision of our College of Pharmacy faculty and teaching assistants. They will get an overview of the profession of pharmacy and Findlay’s pharmacy program, and will come home with souvenirs from their experience!
