Professional Development

Summer Institute has been reinstated! This three-day professional development opportunity will be held on August 2-4, 2022 at May River High School. Our theme for this summer is Refocus, Reset, Renew: Be Relentless in Pursuit of Excellence. We encourage teachers administrators, and support staff to sign up for sessions in My Learning Plan. We are planning a star-filled line up of keynote speakers. Summer Institute sessions were carefully planned for your professional learning.

To receive stipends and/or re-certification, participants must remain in attendance for the entire session for that day. You are not required to complete a form for recertification. Staff members holding professional certificates will receive recertification credits.

Compensation:

• Certified employees who participate in Summer Institute sessions will receive $165 per day.

• Classified employees will receive pay for seat time at $15.00 an hour, plus any applicable overtime.

• Employees with contract days of 195+ will not receive monetary compensation because August 2-4 are scheduled work days.

• Certified and support employees who hold a 182-or 190-day contracts will be eligible for stipends.
