Gather documents

• • • • High school transcripts (can send automatically through CFNC)

      • Test scores (ACT and SAT) if needed

        • • • If your GPA is between a 2.5 and a 2.8, test scores are required for the 17 UNC schools

How does NC College Connect work?

• • • • Logging into CFNC.org gives you access to the College Connect portal, where you'll find out which colleges are offering you automatic admission. (Not open until Sept. 15. Login issues? Reach out to Ms. Boyd.)

      • 2.8 - 4.0: Local community college and select univerities. Varies by GPA and classes taken.

      • 0.0 - 2.8: Admitted to your local community college.

      • See full list of colleges on the flyer! (Certain universities such as UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, Duke, and UNC Wilmington aren't on the list.)

I'm looking at a few universities - what do you advise?

• • • • 4-year bound students, wait to apply until October!

      • All colleges on this list are eligible for Free Application Week through CFNC, which runs from Oct. 19 - 25. Wait to apply then unless you want to pay $90 per college you apply to.

It's past September and I didn't receive a letter. What do I do?

• • • • No worries! You can still find the portal after logging into CFNC.

I've applied through NC College Connect. Now what?

• • • • The College Connect apps are much shorter than the full college applications, meaning the colleges will reach out to you for more info as the year progresses.

      • Keep an eye on the email you used to apply with, they'll send you updates and ask for any documentation there.

      • You can go ahead and send your transcript through CFNC, though!
