Amanda Atwell

Director of K-12 Curriculum & Instruction 

Ms. Atwell began her educational journey in 2003 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, teaching elementary school.  After completing her masters degree in school administration in 2015, Ms. Atwell transitioned to school leadership as a Director of Curriculum and School Principal.  Ms. Atwell has over twenty years of expertise in elementary and secondary classroom teaching, school administration, testing coordination, school accreditation, instructional support, strategic planning, and curriculum development. She is a motivational leader who actively engages with all stakeholders, has a proven ability to maintain lasting relationships with school leaders, and currently works with all K-12 schools within BCS to provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, and development of curriculum and instruction.
