How It Started:

Like all great stories… it started at a wedding.

The producer, BEATZNBEARDZ, was chilling with friends, drink in hand, listening to them go back and forth arguing about their favorite sports teams—like usual 🙄. With a background in audio production, he was asked to help out with another sports podcast. Intrigued, and already itching to dip into the podcast world, he had a different idea:

"What if we created a podcast that put fans from rival teams in the same room… and just let the debates and banter fly on camera?"

A few weeks, a bunch of phone calls, and a flood of texts later—four NFC East Fan Reps were locked in, ready to battle out their hot takes for the world to see. But wait… they still needed a neutral host 🤔.

So why not ask the groom whose wedding started this whole thing? He had no clue what was going on... but he said yes. We were officially in motion!

The Clashing Conferences Podcast was no longer just a wild idea—it was a concept turned action. The producer got to work researching how to make the process easy and stress-free, because let’s be real: everybody and their mom has a podcast, but only a few stick with it.

One full football season later—new laughs, real friendships, and a desire to keep it going had taken root. The producer could feel something bigger was happening—a sense of purpose behind the passion. After football season wrapped, the format shifted to a new group of fans for basketball season. More reps joined, more states got involved, and once again, new bonds were formed—all through the love of sports.

That’s when it hit: this wasn’t just about podcasting. This was about giving people a space to escape, to be themselves, and to connect.

Fast forward 18 months and 20 members later, and we’re still doing what we started—but now with real purpose and intention. What started as five guys on a podcast has grown into a fully functional sports fan network, built to bring people together and provide resources for those who need them.

And those original four reps? They’re now known as The OGs: Topher. Paul. Randy. Gregg.

And the groom who unknowingly hosted us all that day?
Mike Randler.
