There are many parenting methods that can lead to the same result. The suggestions made in Raising Nonviolent Children are solutions that we have found to work even when other methods fail. If you are comfortable and confident in your parenting methods and happy with the results then there's no need to change what you're doing. We have no opinion on your views, values or parenting. We only hope to support families struggling in their journey to be safe.
We have provided resources and links to professionals we respect and regard as experts. Some hold conflicting views to others as well as to those opinions we share in our content here. We believe that any tactic that works, feels right, builds your child's self-esteem, and leads to your child taking responsibility, gaining control of themselves, and coming to demonstrate effective, useful and needed life skills is the right answer. Again, our aim is to be helpful, though some topics are by their very nature are controversial. Please take what's helpful and feel free to disregard the rest.
