About me
Hi, I'm Mrs. Moore! I am the district-wide School Support Therapist here at BEA. My title is just a fancy way of saying that I am another resource for you, to help you in any way that I can!
What do I do?
Provide opportunities for quick check-ins, or finding a time to stop in for longer sessions
Facilitate group sessions with students who may struggle with similar needs/issues
Provide classroom lessons in the spring for all 5th-grade students prepping them for Middle School
Being a safe space for you
Help you get needed items/services (new backpack or school supplies, clothing/shoes/eyewear, food, applying for insurance, getting into therapy outside of school, etc.)
Provide extra support for you and your family
... along with many other things. My goal is to help you achieve academically & to support your emotional, social, and mental health!
How do you start sessions or get connected with me?
Getting connected and sessions or check-ins set up is super easy and can happen a couple of different ways!
A teacher, staff member, friend, parent, or you yourself can put a referral in by emailing me or letting someone at school know.
If you are referred through our Student Assistance Program (SAP) there is a chance you could be put on my caseload.
Parents just need to sign a permission form that I send home with you!
