Colleges advertise a high “sticker price,” but you will almost never pay that full price because of financial aid
When accepted to a college, you will get a financial aid package made up of:
1.Grants (need-based aid)
2.Scholarships (merit-based aid)
3.Loans—must be paid back!
4.Work study opportunities

MUST fill out FAFSA—Free Application for Federal Student Aid
- Apply online after October 1st of senior year at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Financial Aid Night- Date TBA
- DON’T FORGET—PHEAA’s Pennsylvania State Grant form! (FAFSA links to PHEAA forms)
- (Maybe) College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile and/or institutional forms
- Scholarships – see scholarship page!
- Senior Awards program
*** Males 18 and older must register with the Selective Service to be eligible for financial aid. Registering for the Selective Service makes the student eligible for the draft. Failure to register with the Selective Service does not only make students ineligible for financial aid, but will also prevent students from ever getting government jobs.
