Welcome to 3rd Grade

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Amy Ankeny and this year is my 14th year teaching at the Blue Earth Elementary School. I live in Blue Earth with my husband Mick and our dog Nelli. My husband and I have been married for 27 years. We have two grown children Lindsey and Mike. When I am not at work I love spending time outdoors. I like to hike, take long walks, and fish.

I believe in providing a positive classroom environment where every child can succeed. Through hands on learning activities, differentiate instruction, and cooperative learning we will move forward to meet and exceed the Minnesota State Standards.

I am excited to begin a new school year at Blue Earth Area Elementary School. This year we will become partners in one of the most important jobs we have. That job is helping your child become successful, have a high level of self-esteem, and foster self-worth. Parent communication is a vital key to a successful school year.
