About Me
Hi! I currently teach 9th grade Earth Science, Introduction to Engineering and Drones. I started at BEAS during the 2012-2013 school year. Previous to that I taught in Michigan for 15 years.
I have two children, Delanie and Kaden. My daughter is lives and works in Lakeville and my son is beginning his seond year of college. I also have two dogs, Aloe and Mamasita.
I attended Michigan State University where I received both my Bachelor's degree in Earth Science and Environmental Science and Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a science content emphasis. I recently earned a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Environmental Science and Policy. I have a passion for protecting the Earth from the harmful results of global climate change and focus my time on writing climate change curriculum.
In my free time I like to spend time in nature, collect rocks along the shores of Lake Michigan, exercise and read.
My goal for all students is to help them apply the process of science to investigate and find answers about the world in which we live.
