What JAGS means to me
The Jackson Academy of Global Studies (JAGS) was a selective and rigorous program at Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio. It focuses on recognizing issues around the world and learning how we can take action as a global community to resolve them. Beyond academics and service, JAGS has given me friends, memories, and experiences that have changed my life forever.
I am Duncan Hass, the President of the Rosa Montero Chapter of the Spanish Honor Society for the 2025-2026 (SHH),Deputy Secretary General of JAGS-Model UN, and a Boys Nation Senator, representing Ohio for the 2025 session. Outside of leadership, I am a 3 year debater and state qualifier in Public Forum debate, two time Model UN Champion, and proud member of the Jackson tennis team. Outside of school, I keep myself busy working at Sluggers and Putters, a local amusement park and volunteering with JStrong.
I love being a part of JAGS, because I get to give back to local community, take globally focused, rigorous courses, and be part of the JAGS community
After high school, I plan on majoring in History and Spanish and eventually go on to law school to study immigration law.
