My resolution is to get a group, or several groups, of JAGS kids to take trips down to the food bank to volunteer. This is because during the pandemic people really have been struggling with food insecurity so if we can do some good locally, it will impact more than we know. This is linked back to sustainable development goal 2, which is zero hunger. By having groups of JAGS students volunteering at the food bank we can help them push out more goods to the public and reduce the amount of people locally going hungry. I plan to ask other kids in the MUN class once COVID has died down. I personally will also volunteer at the Akron-Canton Food Bank or the Stark Hunger Task Force more in my spare time.
This paper is one I wrote in collaboration with four other students, two who attended the same school as myself, one from Brazil, and one from Spain. We focused on trafficking within our own countries in literature to explore different aspects of trafficking. We explored Ohio's growing trafficking problems, Organ trafficking in Brazil, Stigmas against victims in Europe, attraction tactics used by traffickers in the US, and the lives of survivors afterward in the United States.
