Yellowstone Uncovered: Introduction to Science Module 2
Dear Families,
In science, our class is getting ready to study a new topic: matter and energy in ecosystems. Students will conduct scientific investigations, make careful observations, and use a multitude of models to form an understanding of how matter and energy move through systems. Students will observe predators hunting prey, discover the organisms that recycle the dead, and learn how plants create food out of sunlight, water, and air.
6th Grade Science
Volume 1 - Under the Microscope and CreATe Network.
To start off the year, students will be studying the human body. During this volume, Students act as medical students and explore how different parts of the body work together, from sets of organs to the internal structures of microscopic cells. They then design assistive technology solutions to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
Students will design projects, continue to work on CERs (scientific arguments), and take part in scientific discussions.
