In Senior Boot Camp, you will learn A LOT about how to choose a college and a major, how to apply to scholarships, how to write college essays about yourself, and how to maximize your financial aid. In the months before you head to college, we will teach you how to manage your time, build a network of professors and friends, use effective note-taking strategies, and advocate for yourself.

Be A Leader's Senior Boot Camp (SBC) is an extensive curriculum ensures that each of the seniors receives personal help and support with the process of applying to gain acceptance into colleges and the financial aid application process. The SBC program begins the summer before students start their senior year and requires that students to work with their designated volunteer SBC Coach and receive individualized support from our Senior Boot Camp Coordinator during the process.

Britney Colorado- College Going Counselor (SBC)
Britney Colorado- College Going Counselor (SBC)
Bio: Britney serves as the Senior Boot Camp Coordinator, where she supports high school seniors transitioning into post-secondary education. In her role, she facilitates the senior workshops, activities, one-on-one mentoring with students, and provides them with the tools necessary to be successful in the competitive environment of college admissions.
Britney graduated from Grand Canyon University in December 2022, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Studies and a minor in Psychology. She now works at Be A Leader to continue advocating for her students, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to access and achieve their educational dreams.
Fun Facts:
I was born in Sonora, Mexico and moved to Arizona when I was 7 years old.
I love music and I enjoy going to concerts so much, that I have been to over 28 concerts in my lifetime.
