About Me

I have been teaching for over 17 years, from second grade to high school, and this will be the first time I've ever started online. I have been married to Mr. Hellam for 16 years and have a 15 year old boy, Luke, and a 13 year old girl, Lauren. Yes, they love TicTok and Xbox! I have a dog named Sydney, a kitten named Kismet and tons of fish!

I am a HUGE University of Washington, Husky football fan!!! This will be the first year, since I was 4 years old, that I won't be able to attend even one game. I LOVE to travel, bake/cook, exercise and read, only fitting since I am the ELA teacher. My favorite genre is historical fiction as well as many of your YA novels. There's not much that I don't enjoy to read, once I start reading.

This year, will not only be about ELA, Social Studies, Math, Science, SEL, PE, Music, but technology! That is definitely a positive for all of you in your education. Technology, will not only help you to be successful this year but in your future. We're all one team and I will be there to help you; through tutorials, zoom meetings and email.
