We will try our best!

- Students will be able to redeem their saved Stingray money in the teacher’s classroom stingray store OR in the school stingray store depending on the week.
- Prizes are available ranging in price from $1-$150 stingray bucks.
Advantages to this System:
- Students are acknowledged for positive behavior choices.
- Students learn about the basics of economics and money management through this behavior management system.
Consequences for Poor Behavior:
- Students will be given one verbal warning regarding an issue with behavior, per day.
- A second warning will result in a discrete “stop sign” reminder on the child’s desk.
- If the teacher has to give the student a second “stop sign”, that student will receive a minor (step) in the Educator’s Handbook Online System.
- Three minor (steps) infractions in Educator’s Handbook will result in a formal, major write-up.
- A major write-up will go to the administrator for further action.
- Actions from the administrator could be:
- Reset Room with Mrs. Jenny with a reflection activity
- ISS (In School Suspension)
- OSS (Out Of School Suspension)
- Stop signs are turned back in at the end of the day for a fresh start the next day.
- The teacher also may take single stop signs back from students if the student has shown signs of great improvement throughout the day.
- Depending on the severity of the behavior, a student can immediately be written up and be moved to administrative action instead of moving through the above process.
- Students may also be bounced to another classroom for a reset to help the child regulate their behavior.
- A child being bounced may OR may not also come with a minor (step).
- If the child is bounced, you will receive a paper informing you of the action.
- The child will also complete a reflection while in the facilitating teacher’s classroom.
- The student may also have consequences such as silent lunch for talking while the teacher is talking
-The student would complete a reflection sheet during this process.
- The student may also be given walking recess as a consequence of poor behavior in the classroom.
