I love the Book Walk on! A Guide for Babies of All Ages. We all started off with a growth mindset. Everyone has learned to walk at some point in our lives and its that same perseverance that allows us to be successful people. We need to be risk takers, accept challenges with a positive attitude and demonstrate grit when trying to achieve a goal. Learning from our mistakes and using our failures as a jumping off point is how we gain more knowledge in our lives and at school. In our second grade classroom we expect our students to make mistakes! We want them to feel comfortable taking academic risks and challenging themselves and others in our classroom community. We strive to foster a safe space where all our students can learn and grow in whatever way they need to! We challenge parents to step back, watch them make mistakes, watch them take risks and watch them grow this year! It is going to be a great year!
