Amber Reis, Junior
When it comes to Journalism, I see myself as an editor. Now that this is the second time I have been in this class, I have more experience than I used to which allows me to have a better point of view.
I also like this because I can have more access to each of the stories that are submitted. I love seeing everyone’s different writing styles, and seeing what stories they have to tell.
My family consists of three other siblings, of which I am the youngest, but I was raised as an only child. As a result, I became more independent and tend to be very introverted.
Because of this I’m not a very big people person, instead I’ve become more attached to animals, especially dogs.
I prefer activities like reading, spending time with my dogs and doing pour art. Reading is by far my favorite activity because it allows me to get away from any stress or complicated things that are happening.
Another outlet I have is through music, mostly country. Artists like Morgan Wallen, Dylan Scott and Hardy are my top favorites.
Another one of my favorite things is the evening. Seeing a sunset is often very calming for me because everything becomes more muted.
As for my favorite time of year, that would be fall. Fall brings out perfect temperatures, simple reds and oranges instead of everything being green.
It also brings out some of my favorite foods and scents like pumpkin spice and apple pie.
While I’ve never been outside of the country, I have gone to many states throughout the U.S. including, New York, California, and Illinois, as well as passing through a few to get there.
However, I have always wanted to go to, or live in one of two places. Mexico and Texas.
In my opinion, Mexico has a very unique culture, one of which I want to explore and become involved with. Texas on the other hand has always been simple, secluded, and simply set in tradition.
