Hi! I'm Barbara Ashworth, and I teach third grade English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In my classroom, I strive to create a space where every student feels valued, confident, and inspired to grow—both academically and personally. I'm excited for another great year of learning and getting to know you!

Welcome to third grade! My name is Ms. Hernandez and I am one of the third grade teachers. I was born in Charlotte, NC and spent most of my life in Charlotte. After college I joined the Army before I decided on my career in education. I earned a bachelors in education from UNC Wilmington. I have been living in Brunswick County with my son for 12 years now. This will be my 10th year at Supply Elementary. I am so excited to spend another year teaching third grade and getting to know all the incoming third graders!

Hi! I am Ms. Pippin, and I am one of the third-grade teachers. I am from Vermont and moved down to North Carolina in 2024. I graduated from Keene State College with my degree in Education and Holocaust and Genocide Studies. This will be my second year as a Supply, in 3rd grade and teaching! Can't wait for the year ahead with the rising 3rd graders.
Mrs. Stevenson
Hi there, I am Mrs. Stevenson, another member of the third-grade team. I am from a small island in the Caribbean named Dominica, West Indies, where I lived until migrating to the U.S. and making a new home in Southport, NC.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Upon graduating, I joined the Supply Family and have been here my entire teaching career, lasting 11 years. I look forward to creating lasting memories with the rising students.
