Let's Draw!
Slow Drawing Series
In this sporadic series, we will focus on slowly drawing simple lines, shapes, patterns, and designs; using repetitive movements to create.
This type of art is about the process of creating, more so than the outcome, and engages the right side of our brains - which is associated with creative thinking.
I encourage you to use materials that cannot be erased for these videos and embrace any "mistakes" you may make.
Science suggests this type of art making may actually help us relieve stress, become better problem solvers and increase our ability to concentrate. :) What do you think?? Let's give it a try!
Today we will draw some 3-D pumpkins together using crayons!
If you'd like to use other drawing materials, or maybe even paints, go right ahead!
Share what you create!! Bring it in to school or send it in an email to Lbanester@bcswan.net with the subject: Pumpkin
Today we will use repeated straight lines, going in different directions and overlapping, to create "pipes."

Today we will use repeated curved lines to create 3-D looking "roots" or coils in our art.
I'd love to see what you create!
