COUGARS MISSION STATEMENT:
Develop and produce outstanding student-athletes with high academic and athletic goals who are responsible, productive citizens in our school and community and prepare them for their future endeavors.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
I expect players to be good student-athletes, with students being the main emphasis. They should conduct themselves properly in class, on the court, and in the community. Everywhere they go, they represent South Brunswick High School and should be a positive role model and a great citizen. If players are unable to do this, they will not be a part of the South Brunswick Cougars Swim Program, as I want a first-class organization that is known for molding successful young men and women on and off the pool deck who can swim and act at the highest standards. It is a privilege not a right to swim on this team.
I am a teacher that is a coach; I will teach my players the proper fundamentals, work ethic, respect, teamwork, dedication and the Game through modeling expected behaviors and rigorous practices. That way in meet situations they can relax, react and swim fast. I believe sports directly relate to life and will provide many life lessons and skills. There will be failure, risk, surprises, uncertainty, frustration, working through corrections, achieving, and pleasure involved. These life lessons will undoubtedly influence and test our mental and physical character along with our courage, but they will also make us better women/men, friends, wives/husbands, co-workers and leaders as we go through our different paths of life. I want these ladies to transfer the mental and physical discipline into their everyday lives for the future.
