Hi all,

My name is Donna Long and I come to your great state of NC, from my great state of Ohio. I am in my 34th year in education, starting year 2.5 here at SBHS. I have taught Earth and Environmental Science, Regular Bio, and Honors Bio. here at SBHS. For 31 years prior, I taught middle  and high school Physical Education and Health. I hold 3 teaching certificates and have my Master's Degree in Education.

I am the proud mother of 3 beautiful, adult daughters and grandma to 4 of the most wonderful grandchildren you could ever meet. Family is very important to me.

I am an avid sports fan. Basketball was my first love (go Tar Heels), but I'm also a huge Ohio State Football fan! I played collegiate basketball and numerous sports throughout my youth and even now in my adult life (pickleball). This year I am excited to be a part of the boys basketball program as the JV Coach, and an Asst. Coach on the women's softball team.

My experience with this school, our leadership and my colleagues has been tremendous, and I can hardly wait to get this year started.
