ABOUT ME
My name is Beth Sapp, and this is my second year at Supply Elementary and my 22nd year of teaching. I have taught almost every grade level from preschool to 8th grade and spent my last year in Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools as a Literacy Coach under the ESSER grant. I relocated to Brunswick County a year ago and I love it here.
My husband, Chad, and I have been married for 30 years, and we have three beautiful children: Keaton, 28, Ella Grace, 21, and Hutch, 19, as well as a 2-year-old granddaughter, Lucy. They are my favorite people.
We also have two sweet puppies, Roo Bean, a Jack Chi, and Obi, a Mountain Cur.
I became a teacher because I love children and teaching and have a heart for struggling readers. I received my elementary education degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am licensed in K-6 elementary education, certified in middle school ELA, and am Orton-Gillingham trained under Ron Yoshimoto. My favorite things are spending time with my family and dogs, kayaking, listening to live music, reading (of course), and watching children achieve.
5th grade is an exciting time! As "big kids" students are gaining autonomy and developing individual ideas and opinions. I believe in respecting my students, holding them accountable for their behavior and academic integrity, and working in partnership with parents to help students succeed.
I am excited to have your child in my class, and I look forward to a great year here at Supply!
