SBHS Honor Code - Late Work Form
Ethics, honesty, and integrity are integral components of the academic process. Students are expected to be honest & ethical at all times in their pursuit of academic goals in accordance with BCS District Policy 4310.
● Cheating - The actual giving or receiving of any unauthorized assistance or the actual giving or unfair advantage on any form of academic work.
● Plagiarism - The copy of the language, structure, idea and/or thought of another represented as one’s own work.
● Falsification - The verbal/written statement of untruth.
● Violation of Copyright Laws - Unauthorized reproduction, duplication and/or use of electronic work, computer software, or other copyrighted material.
● Forgery - A written misrepresentation, as in a signature.
Any student found in violation of the policy will be subject to the following consequences:
First Offense - The student receives a zero and is not allowed to make up the work. A parent or guardian is contacted, and the teacher documents the offense and parent contact within the school’s internal system. It is not part of the student’s permanent record.
Second Offense - The student receives a zero and is not allowed to make up the work. A parent or guardian is contacted, and the teacher documents the offense in Educator Handbook. An administrator follows up with parent contact and the offense becomes part of the student’s transcript.
