About Me

I’m a Brunswick County native, born and raised in Shallotte Point. My educational journey began in Brunswick County schools, being a student at Union Elementary, Shallotte Middle School, and West Brunswick High School.  I then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in English from UNC-Chapel Hill and a teaching degree from UNC-Wilmington. Recently, I completed my master’s degree in Library Science at Appalachian State University. With over 24 years of classroom teaching experience, I transitioned to the role of media coordinator at Waccamaw School in 2022. I’m proud to be an Eagle and deeply value our Waccamaw community, which I believe boasts the best staff and students in the county!
