Welcome to a New School Year!

Welcome back! I’m Mrs. Putnam, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This will be my fifth year in education and my first year at VWES, and I am looking forward to making this a wonderful year of learning, growth, and fun.

I live in Calabash with my husband and our newborn daughter, Delilah. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, along with additional graduate certificates in education, through UNC Charlotte and WGU. I studied English Literature and Elementary Education and have always had a passion for helping children learn, grow, and become more confident in themselves.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love reading, baking, and spending time with my family. I can’t wait to get to know each of my students and their families and to make this school year one to remember!
