About us
Hello friends! My name is Samantha Stitz. I've been working in EC in Brunswick County for 7 years. I graduated from UNCW in 2013 and I have been working with children since. I spent some time working with children within the mental health community with severe behavioral and mental health. I also worked some time with an outpatient program doing ABA therapy until I eventually found myself working within the school system. I started out at Belville Elementary in EC Adaptive and this is my third year at Leland Middle!
During my free time, I like to spend my time watching movies, reading, and playing games. I have an incredible passion for dungeon and dragons and all things fantasy and sci-fi!
I graduated from Georgia Tech decades ago with a degree in Physics. After working in the defense industry for several years, I decided to purse my true passion, working with kids. I was licensed to teach physics, middle school math, middle school science, and elementary. After teaching for eleven years, I decided to become a Teacher Assistant. This is my fourth year as a T.A., my second at LMS. I love these children SO MUCH! This is, by far, the most rewarding job I have ever had. Thank you for the opportunity to spend every day with your precious young people.
When I'm not at school I enjoy quilting, crafting, reading, and working in my flower garden. I have a wonderful husband of 34 years, two amazing daughters, and the cutest dogs you'll ever see.
