About Me: 

It’s so nice to meet you! My family and I recently moved to the Wilmington area, and I’m excited to begin my first year at Leland Middle School and my 11th year teaching English! I became an English teacher because I love stories and the way they help us understand one another. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students find their voices, challenge themselves, and grow. My students inspire me every day! Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and our cat, as well as reading, traveling, running, yoga, music, and theater. I feel so fortunate to be joining the LMS community and look forward to getting to know your students and families. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, creating, writing, and growing together!
