Testing Information

Students taking Physical Science will have a CMA (Common Mastery Assessment).  There is not an EOC (End of Course) examination for this course.

Students may be exempted from the CMA only if they meet the following criteria:

An average grade of 90 or above with fewer than 7 absences

An Average grade of 80-89 with fewer than 5 absences

An average grade of 70-79 with fewer than 3 absences

Absences are counted regardless of being considered exempt or nonexempt for exam purposes. Exemptions are calculated by the district and not by individual teachers. 

Classroom tests:

 Classroom tests will be given on paper and count as 70% of the students grade. 

Please Note: Make up exams and test corrections must be completed during flex block. Class time will not be given for missing exams. Test corrections will result in up to half of the missed points being added back to the final score of the test.
