About Me

I am very excited to be a 6th grade Social Studies teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year at SMS. I look forward to a year of engaging learning, but first I’ll tell you a little about myself. I am a native of Brunswick County, and even attended SMS as an adolescent. I am passionate about teaching and I knew at a young age that I wanted to become an educator; I am in a family full of them. I graduated from Fayetteville State University where I majored in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
