About Me

Hey Y’all! My name is Lindsay Kern and I teach 5th grade AIG ELA, Science, and Social Studies, along with 4th grade AIG ELA. I am also the AIG Lead and Yearbook Committee adviser for Lincoln.

The 2025-2026 school year will be my 16th teaching & my 7th at LES. I graduated from UNC-Pembroke in 2010 with my Bachelor’s in Education and went back a few years later to add on my AIG certification! 

I was raised in Lake Waccamaw, NC, but now live here in Leland. My husband, Derek, and I have been married for almost 19 years. We have four crazy (but amazing) kiddos, Lahna, Tripp, Jaxen, & Seylea, and two fur babies, Buckley & Wallen. This year we have also welcomed, Neus, a special "host daughter" from Spain to our family! (Want to know more about this great opportunity for your family? Email me!)

Can we say mom taxi? Oh yes! I spend most of my free time cheering on a kid at some type of sporting event or dance competition. I love crafting, photography, & dancing. I can’t live without crime shows or Mexican food. I am obsessed with all things Harley Quinn, Funko POPs, and music - especially my Morgan Wallen playlist!
