Welcome to Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an exciting grade because your little ones will begin to make new friends and learn life skills at the beginning of their academic journey. Your students will start by learning basic shapes, numbers, and letters to help them become independent learners.  For your students to become successful Kindergarteners, it will take a team -  my help and your help at home to grow them where they need to be. It is my personal goal to find out the different interests and learning styles in my classroom so that we can have a successful and memorable year. We will have lots of fun and grow together!  We are family!! 

About Me

I have been married for 25 years to the love of my life, Frank.  We have three amazing teenagers/young adults Cody (22), Addison (18), and Landon (15).  We also have two cats, Chicken Wing and Midnight, to complete our family.   We moved to Brunswick County, NC in 2016 from Gaston County, NC.  I have been at VWES since 2018.  This is my second year as a classroom teacher.   I have always had a passion to teach and can't believe this is what I get to do every day!
