Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Mrs. Hartman and I am your child's first grade teacher this year! 

A little about me...I am a wife and mother to three amazing boys ages 21, 15, and 12.  I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach and playing with my dog. The 2023-24 school year will be my 22nd year teaching in Brunswick County and I have loved every minute of it. I am so excited to be your child's teacher and I look forward to working with you!

I would like to welcome you and your child to first grade at Virginia Williamson Elementary School. This year, we become partners in the most important jobs we have - helping your child to succeed. This will be an exciting and challenging task, but I am confident that if we work together as a team, this will be a successful year.

I believe the education of young children is a team effort. With parents, teachers, and students working together we can prepare your child with a foundation for a lifetime of opportunities. Good communication will guide us through the year and will help us achieve many goals. I will keep you informed about your child’s progress throughout the year and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
