Hello! My name is Alyssa Dunning, and I am thrilled to share a little about myself with you. I recently got married and made the exciting move to Leland in 2023. I graduated from UNCW in May 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching for four wonderful years.

I began my teaching journey in second grade and joined the amazing team at Lincoln in 2023, where I teach fourth grade. One of my greatest joys is sharing my love for math with my students, helping them see how it relates to their everyday lives and experiences.

I believe that forming strong relationships with my students is essential because connection is everything. I strive to create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and inspired to learn.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the beautiful beaches,  taking walks with my dog, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year together!
