Hello! My name is Alyssa Dunning, and I am thrilled to share a little about myself with you. I recently got married and made the exciting move to Leland in 2023. I graduated from UNCW in May 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching for four wonderful years.

I began my teaching journey in second grade and joined the amazing team at Lincoln in 2023, where I have taught fourth grade and will be teaching third grade this year! One of my greatest joys is sharing my love for math with my students, helping them see how it relates to their everyday lives and experiences.

I believe that forming strong relationships with my students is essential because connection is everything. I strive to create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and inspired to learn.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the beautiful beaches,  taking walks with my dog, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year together!
