• December 13th-BCECHS and COAST will present to all 8th graders an information session during school.  

• December 16th-application to apply to BCECHS and COAST is available here .   

• January 14th-4:00-5:00 Student/Parent Information Meeting at the COAST, 5:30-6:30 stations in Bldg C at BCECHS

• January 23rd- 6:00 PM all applications due to BCECHS and COAST

• January 27-29-writing essay for students that applied to BCECHS (only) prompt will be provided day of the essay

• February 13th-emails sent to students and parents to set up interviews (if needed)

• February 17th-20th-prospective student and parent interview (required)

• March 10th-final letters will be mailed to all applicants

• March 24-deadline for students/parents to call accept/decline

Counselor

• Provide information regarding educational opportunities after Leland Middle School.

• Guide all 8th grade parents and students through the application process to BCECHS and Achieve Academy at the COAST.

• Provide two teachers with the teacher recommendation form link to complete for each student applying to ECHS.  One must be a core subject teacher and at least one recommendation should be from an 8th grade teacher.

• Provide the counselor and/or administrator recommendation form (optional).

• Gather and provide report card, discipline, test scores, and attendance from the current school year and previous school year.   

• Organize and facilitate the writing essay.
