Learning Recovery for Attendance:
Your presence in class is important to your learning and to our collaborative environment. While a passing grade reflects your academic understanding, excessive absences (more than 10 unexcused) will activate the Learning Recovery process. This means you'll be assigned an Incomplete grade and a personalized Learning Recovery Plan to help you catch up on missed content. This plan may involve using teacher approved resources like Edmentum, taking a digital assessment, or completing a paper assignment, all tailored to the specific standards missed. We'll work with you to ensure the plan is appropriate and supportive. You'll have 20 business days to complete the plan, which will be overseen by an administrator, counselor, or teacher. Completing the plan successfully will allow your original earned grade to stand. However, if the plan is not completed, your final grade for the course will be 50.
Quarter 1 Minimum Grade Policy: The previous policy guaranteeing a 50% minimum grade at the end of each quarter has been updated. Students failing the 1st Quarter of the semester can still earn a minimum grade of 50% by engaging in a Learning Recovery Plan. This plan will address specific learning gaps through tasks like Edmentum modules, Delta math or review assignments aligned to the missed content. It is essential to complete this plan within 20 school days. Our school administration will work with you to explain the process and provide any necessary assistance.

However, a waiver allowing credit for missed work may be granted by the principal or designee upon written request by the parent or guardian, student, or faculty within five school days of the student’s return to school. Credit for missed work due to unexcused absences will be considered only after all previously incomplete work has been submitted. Students are strongly encouraged to complete missed assignments promptly to support their academic progress, maintain instructional continuity, and demonstrate mastery of content.
