About Greg Bland

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and began teaching at South Brunswick High School in 1992. With the exception of a brief stint as an instructional coach for Brunswick County Schools, I have been at SBHS for my entire career. Go Cougars!

During my time at South, I have taught American History, Civics and Economics, AP US History, AP US Government and Politics, World History, and Cape Fear History. In 2000, I received certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

I live in Boiling Spring Lakes with my wife, Amy, and two daughters, Caroline and Charlotte. In my spare time, I like to play golf, watch movies, travel and cheer for my UNC Tar Heels! Go Heels!
