Its the first week of school! I am so glad you are here. This will be our very first Weekly Update of the 22/23 school year. I know you have a lot of stuff going on this week so this edition of the Weekly Update will be short and to the point!

Important Reminders!

• The biggest thing you are responsible for this week is reading and signing my course syllabus. The course syllabus is online but I handed out a single piece of paper with scannable QR codes that link to the English and Spanish versions of the syllabus. After YOU and a PARENT/GUARDIAN has read the syllabus, please SIGN the bottom of the sheet and return it to class by FRIDAY. THIS IS NOT A GRADE BUT IT IS REQUIRED!

• If you did not attend Open House, make sure you have signed up for my Google Classroom based on what Core class you are in. I will help you do this in class!

  • Parents/guardians, please fill out this FORM to view your student's progress on Classroom.

• Sign up for the LMS Team Texas Remind to receive brief updates from all of your Core teachers about assignments, assessments, and more! Your Parent/Guardian can sign up for this as well!

Assignments -

Only ONE assignment this week! Yes it's the first week but we want to hit the ground running this year!

• ARTIFCACT - Evaluating Sources Activity

  • When? Friday in class.

  • Grading scale 0-4. Rubric will be attached to the assignment.

  • Homework? NO this is not homework, we should finish this in class on FRIDAY.

  • When will it be graded? By the next week at the absolute latest!
