Exceptional Children- Adaptive Teacher Kindergarten-5th Grade
Hello! My name is Chelsea Motyka (Mo-tea-kuh).
I have an undergraduate degree in communication disorders and sciences (speech pathology) from Eastern Illinois University and a master's degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have worked in the public school system since 2015 and at Belville since 2021.
My husband and I are from Chicago, IL, but fell in love with the ocean when he was stationed in NC while he was enlisted in the Marine Corps and so we stayed. I am a mom to two fun and lively boys, Sawyer and Bennett. We have two dogs, Izzy and Boomer and 6 guinea pigs, Ginny, Georgia, Sookie, Babette, Rory, and Lane. My favorite things to do are going on spontaneous vacations with my family on weekends and school breaks, outdoor adventures, shelling at the beach, and making fancy salads for my guinea pigs.
In my classroom, we cultivate friendships through play, games and laughs. We make learning fun with hands-on activities as much as possible. I'm excited to get to know your child and find their strengths and talents! I love collaborating with parents.
Please feel free to contact me at the school or through Class Dojo with any questions or concerns. I want to partner with you in order to best support your child.
I am looking forward to a great year full of celebrations of progress!
