This unit gives an overview of the societies during the Middle Ages, from Africa to Asia and Western Europe including Cultural Renaissances of the Islamic, Chinese, and Japanese Civilizations.
This unit will look into the new forms of thought and art that are emerging in Western Europe towards the end of the Middle Ages and how it influences future Political, Social and Economic Systems
In this unit we will be overviewing the stirrings of "Globalization" for many European Powers. Also, we discuss Asian explorers who were a precursor to the European Age of Exploration. In addition, we will cover the rise of Centralized Absolute Political States.
An overview of the change in political, social, and economic thought emerging in Europe leading to multiple overthrows of existing governments and belief systems.
A brief look into the world at how societies are affected by the Industrial Revolution and the rise of global competition for resources.
A look at the results of increased conflicts and economic interdependency during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century.
Overview of the competition of Capitalism/Democracy vs Communism and the race to becoming the world dominating power between USA and USSR. We will also look at how Nationalist movements begin to become more widespread due to imperialism and other political and economic tensions.
This unit will cover issues that span the 20th and 21st Centuries and how Cultural Diffusion and Interactions have produced new changes and challenges in the modern world.
