The ESL program provides English language instruction multilingual Learners (MLs). Federal guidelines state that upon school enrollment, a Home Language Survery is part of the enrollment packet.
Any language minority student is given a placement test, provided by WIDA Consortium (WIDA Screeners). If a student is identified as limited English proficient, the student will qualify for ESL services and receive assistance in English learning and take the ACCESS test (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State).
