Wit and Wisdom
Last year Brunswick county implemented Wit and Wisdom as our reading curriculum. We will continue to use this curriculum in the 2024-2025 school year. This year students will dive deeper in their thinking and understanding while learning about new people, places, and ideas. Students will engage in partner activities, group work, independent work, reading, vocabulary, and writing.
Throughout the year the students will engage in a variety of vocabulary words to help build their background knowledge and grow their comprehension skills. We will use these words as we are reading different text and composing essays. Students will periodically take quizzes throughout the unit on key vocabulary terms.
